"And the next series to get a chance in the spotlight is “Mr. Mercedes.” The series is being directed by Jack Bender, of “Lost” and “Under the Dome” fame, and features a stellar cast that includes Brendan Gleeson, Mary Louise Parker, Harry Treadaway, and Justine Lupe. Here’s the lowdown on the show:
From Executive Producers Stephen King, David E. Kelley and Jack Bender comes the story of a demented serial killer who taunts a retired police detective with a series of lurid letters and emails. This forces the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he can strike again."

Looks creepy. But I like Brendan Gleeson, so I'd probably watch it for him. I remember being vaguely interested in reading the book at some point, but never did. At the end of the video, it said it premieres August 9 though, just to update on the release date.

I liked the book, so I'll probably check this out. I hope they don't ruin it the way they did with Under the Dome. (Just my opinion...I hated that show.)

I love this series. Great investigation. Great cat and mouse. Brendan Gleeson is always fun to watch. All the supporting characters are great too. Holly being my favorite. The second season does dive into some supernatural elements, but it works. It all works. I think the show is over now, but it's worth binging. Brady is such an evil person, but he's not just one dimensional. Could have been, but isn't. Lou is superb. The third season almost lost steam, but the stuff with Lou was great. Still a great series overall. One of the better Stephen King adaptations. Well worth watching.
