"Cursed Films is a five-part documentary series which explores the myths and legends behind some of Hollywood’s notoriously “cursed” horror film productions. From plane accidents and bombings during the making of The Omen, to the rumored use of real human skeletons on the set of Poltergeist, these stories are legendary amongst film fans and filmmakers alike. But where does the truth lie? Cursed Films reveals the events that haunted these productions through interviews with experts, witnesses and the cast, directors and producers who lived through the real-life events. Were these films really cursed, as many believe, or just the victims of bad luck and bizarre circumstances?"
The series will premiere on Shudder Thursday, April 2nd.

Sounds awesome. I don't have Shudder so have to wait til another option becomes available myself. I want to to see this. Love to see an episode on Twilight Zone: The Movie as well as what's already been mentioned.

Might have to renew my Shudder account after all for this. Among other shows on there.

Decent show, just wish the episodes were a little bit longer.

I've only seen the episode on The Exorcist so far, and a lot of what was covered I knew going in. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the episodes, but I wish they were longer too.

Watching this right now.
Exorcist, Poltergeist, the Crow and Twilight Zone: The Movie were fine but well known.
The Omen episode was very interesting because it was more about the Devil and witchcraft.
The Twilight Zone story was a rough one to watch.
I would like the see this series extended to non horror films as well and just go through a gamut of different genres and such.

Shudder has announced the renewal of this show for a second season. Press Release: August 6, 2020 — "Shudder today announced the season two pickup of hit docu-series Cursed Films, written, directed and executive produced by Jay Cheel (How to Build a TIme Machine). Cursed Films explores the facts and legends around iconic films and franchises whose casts and crews have been struck by misfortune and tragedy. The first season examined The Omen, Poltergeist, The Exorcist, The Crow and Twilight Zone: The Movie. Season two, now in production and set to premiere in 2021, will turn its focus to a new group of “cursed” films whose titles will be revealed at a later date." movieweb.com/cursed-films-season-2-renewed-shudder-streaming/

I'm definitely down for more episodes. Hopefully they do some lesser known films and other genres as well.

I think they will. In the interview, Cheel says they leave North America a few times. Vague, but hinting at maybe some cult favorite type, lesser widely known films.

I can see an episode on Cannibal Holocaust and the legal troubles the director over it, as well as the history of cannibalism similar to the Omen episode.

I can see an episode on Cannibal Holocaust and the legal troubles the director over it, as well as the history of cannibalism similar to the Omen episode. I wouldn't mind a longer episode on the legal issues and history of the cannibal genre in general.
