Having a career that spanned 8 decades, Betty White was a pioneer for women in television, including being the first woman to produce a sitcom. Starting in radio, she made the transition to television and went on to become an Emmy winning game show host, multi time game show panelist earning her the nickname "The First Lady of Game Shows", sitcom star, as well as multiple guest hosting spots and appearances on several other TV shows. She even won a Guinness World Record for longevity in the TV field in 2018. There is so much more to say about her career, but probably above all of her amazing achievements is how much everyone she worked with seemed to love her. You never heard a bad word about her. Really a great career.
Outside of TV, she was a huge supporter of animal causes. She loved animals and helped promote many charities, without any fanfare.
She would have been 100 on January 17th, but 99 years old is a really long time and from all accounts, she led a very happy life. RIP Betty White, you entertained generations.

I was honestly expecting to see her celebrate her 100th in 3 weeks. This was a shock to read today.
An absolute legend.

This was so sad to hear! Especially since she was soooo close to 100. But yes, I believe she was extremely happy with her life and she was always so upbeat and just had the best attitude. I loved her in everything she did. I especially enjoyed her unique friendship with Ryan Reynolds also. She will definitely be missed by pretty much everyone.
