when I was looking at Doctor Strange stuff I came upon this. Doctor Mordrid. Master of the Unknown. It was meant to be a Doctor Strange film, but the producers took so long to produce it that they lost the Marvel licence for the character they originally had. it certainly looks a lot like Doctor Strange. Anyone seen it? www.imdb.com/title/tt0104115/

It's a movie that could have been good, but the lack of budget and action let it down. Combs is fantastic in the role, but the film just drags because not a whole lot happens.

I actually enjoyed this one. It was originally meant to be Dr. Strange brought to live action, but Stan Lee and Marvel Comics said no to that idea, and I don't blame them. I found it entertaining and cool looking for a low budget B-movie that did good with what they had to go with about their own original character, but they did not have enough to go with to being Dr. Strange to live action, and make it look right. There is also a made for TV movie from the 1970s called "Exxo-Man," that was originally meant to be Iron Man brought to live action, but Stan Lee and Marvel Comics also said no to that idea, and I completely agree with them on that call. I enjoyed "Exxo-Man" for a made for TV movie on a limited budget that did good for what they had to go with about their own original character, but the costume would not have passed for Iron Man, or even coming close for that matter. David Akyroyd, the star, would have also been way too miscast as Tony Stark. Back to the "Doctor Mordrid" film right quick, Combs was good as Dr. Mordrid, but would have been too miscast as Dr. Strange.
