I didn't know that either Tony. Good to know.

Any more instances of this Scott? Hope ProBoards have gone through and removed any bad ads after my posts there.

You think proboards would allow you to customize the adds... At least have them relevant to what's going on in here..

That would be a nice option. Think they'd ever implement it if enough people bitched?
Just asking, but why don't you guys use Adblock Plus?? It works wonderfully. I know you're on your phone now Tony, but isn't there an ad blocking app for that?

There isn't any ads on the phone app but I like the ads on the browser as long as they don't interfere with the interface.. its odd but I look at them from an artistic view seeing what companies are paying for or what trends are being used... Also I know proboards has them up so people will click them in order to get cash and keep the forums free... I have no clue but it is a good idea "custom ads" even googles adsense is smart enough to gather knowledge from the site and create ads that relate to the site.

As an experiment, I'm using Opera's browser so I can see the ads myself and see if anything funny happens. The ads aren't terrible( I've never seen them until now so I didn't know what they looked like or anything), but I don't like them. I'll use Opera all day today here, but I will definitely be switching back to Firefox with AdBlock plus so I don't have to see them anymore.

For the most part pb is fast on reacting on bad ads... There are actually two different types of ads seminars can use one being the default banner style the other is a rectangle version... Never seen the rectangle version being used

Never seen the rectangle version being used I haven't either, at least so far. Only been using Opera today for a few hours and already I don't even really notice or pay attention to the ads. Still bugs me though. Think that will be what I ask for as a Christmas present, get rid of the ads. At least my wife won't have to go to the mall.

I think it was qf that may have mentioned that she paid to have the ads removed and it didn't even work... I could be wrong but I think she had mentioned it or it could have been from somewhere else

If that's the case I hope she got her money back. That's BS. $7 a month isn't much, but it adds up over time. I'd be pissed if I paid for no ads and they were still there.
