"Jack In The Box 2: Awakening" is even better than the first one in my opinion. It starts off with an bed sentenced elderly old lady requesting the oldest existing Jack In The Box in the world to be delivered to her, and it is, for she knows it conceals a demon that can restore her life if it can take six victims in exchange. She uses her adult son to bring guests to their mansion in attempt to use those guests as victims for the demon inside of the Jack In The Box. The old lady and her son do a good entertaining parody on Norman Bates and Mother. There are also a lot of good scary kill scenes full of artsy gore an suspense. There are also a lot of eye opening twists and turns throughout the film to keep it very interesting. Just like the first film, a lot of parts reminded me of the Hellraiser series, and it should appeal to fans of that franchise. Those who like the first film of this franchise and the Hellraiser series should enjoy this one as well.
