"Natty Knocks" is another recent horror film that follows in the traditions of the classic 1980s horror films, and even has Robert Englund in it. It begins with a group of ladies teaming up to jump another lady who is believed to be a witch before throwing her into a shed then setting it on fire with the lady being burned threatening to put a curse on each and every one of them and their families. It then forwards to present day with a young boy needing $50 but not knowing how to get it, then having a friend suggest skipping school so they can steal a certain kind of wiring in a neighbor's yard for his Halloween yard decorations that is worth that much. After stealing the wire without the neighbor catching them, they come across an abandoned house where the lady who was burned at the beginning lived, and the friend dares the boy to knock on that door nine times, which is something the locals in that area call a "Natty Knocks" game. When he does, he sees a young lady getting beaten by a big crazy man through the window. They call the police anonymously via pay phone. The police say they will check it out, but they don't. It then turns out the psycho beating the young lady is in the police department. He also turns out to be the son of the lady who was burned, and back for vengeance. This story also has a good amount of twists, turns, shocking and eye opening scenes. The picture quality, fake blood and make up fx are overall well done. It also has a lot of good scenic shots. It also has the smooth editing like a lot of the 1980s films. That is not to mention good drama, dialogue, and well developed characters. This should definitely appeal to those into the classic 1980s horror films and the like.
