"Bad Candy" is a horror anthology film in similar format to a 1980s horror film with similar props, scenery, drama, dialogue, and even the smooth editing like a lot of the 1980s films. It has a lot of really cool and awesome looking props and scenery throughout the whole film. It also has some pretty well developed characters as well. It is not technically based on E.C. Comics, but the stories do involve bad karma getting those who have it coming to them. It begins with 2 radio DJs telling each story on Halloween night. It then shows a young girl riding her bike to a tree house where her group of friends are having a Halloween party. She draws a picture of a demonic clown, then the demonic clown comes to life. A couple of bullies then come to trash their Halloween decorations, only to have the demonic clown kill them off as the first bad karma scene. Some more bad karma scenes involve the clown getting a freak who hands out candy that is laced with LSD or some similar drug, a lady who works at the morgue making out with a dead body having the demonic clown appear and reanimate the other dead bodies to gang up on her, a late mother rising up from the dead to take out a drunk and abusive stepfather, a pedophile getting the demonic clown as a trick-or-treater not wanting candy, as a few examples. The final story is about something that actually happened in that town, only to get interrupted by a caller who was there when it happened, wanting to tell it how it actually happened. There are also a lot of twists, turns, eye openers, and jump scares. The costumes, make-up, and fake blood are also very cool looking and well done. It also has some cool lighting and visual effects. Those into horror anthology films and 1980s horror films should not be disappointed with this one.
