So, throwing out some 2 week old turkey, I saw a box in the garbage chute room. And that box was for a Super Nintendo Entertainment System. And the book was in fine condition. Now, I expected it to be empty, or filled with trash. Boy, was I wrong.
It had a SNES in it, complete with AC adapter, RF and Component plugs, and 2 controllers in its original styrofoam packaging. It was just missing the game Super Mario Land (thankfully, I already have that). Now, I expected it to be broken, but I plugged it in and it worked. It was a bit buggy, but that could just be from lack of use. Either way, going to hold onto it for me. What I did do was place MY already working SNES in it.
Now, I did not have the component plugs before, so I thought BEANS! But after checking the SNES on my 10 year old Allegro dvd player, when I plugged by bluray player back into it, it no longer accepted the picture. Great. Just great. So after about an hour, I took the old dvd combo player I have in my other room, brought it in here, and now using THAT to play blurays in my bedroom (where I don't use my big screen, but don't feel like leaving the room because I'm not feeling great).
Oy. Next time I do want to plug my SNES in, I'm plugging it directly into my TV. Huh, I wonder how they will play on the big screen...

That's a freaking awesome find. I play my SNES through my 32 inch LCD HDTV in the living room. Picture isn't breathtaking, a little pixelated, but fine for what it is.
Don't know if it would look better on the plasma in the bedroom or not. Have to try that Friday.

SWEET! Now that is a great find. Yeah, yeah, I know. Doesn't make sense. But I REALLY wanted to use that image!
