"Edward Tor Swenson (Johan Rudebeck) is a film cutter for the Loose Limbs horror film series. He slowly goes insane editing the gory scenes and goes on his own rampage as Evil Ed, beating the friendly filmgeek Nick (Per Löfberg) up, taking his girlfriend hostage and having a shootout with special forces lead by Gert Fylkin.
The film parodies and pays homage to numerous American horror classics, most notably the Evil Dead films, Halloween, The Silence of the Lambs, and The Shining.
The film is a satire towards the harsh censoring that the Swedish Statens biografbyrå (Cinemabureau of the state) ran from 1911 until halted in 1996."
Watched this last night and found it to be quite good, though the last 15 minutes do get pretty ridiculously over the top.

Wanted to see this, just never got around to ordering it from NetFlix. I'll give it a try, if you like it I probably will too.

It's a fun one I learned about a few years ago that I finally got around to watching. Really awesome special effects and make-up.

I kinda wish they actually made those "Loose Limbs" films they mentioned in there. Those looked pretty awesome.
I couldn't help but bust out laughing at the part where Ed is talking to his wife on the phone and goes "In this film a woman is raped by a beaver and gets shot in the face with a bazooka."

Loose limbs would make a great series of films.

Maybe we should team up and make it a reality!

Maybe we should team up and make it a reality! Haha, yeah. Could prove tricky being in different countries though.

If bands can have members from different countries, then a movie can be made by people in different countries!

True. True. So who owns some fairly decent camera equipment and editing software then?

I could gather some software, lol. Not so much on the actual equipment.

Bet we could make a better found footage film than the stuff out recently. Wouldn't be my favorite way to do a film, but gotta use what you got.

found footage is a good idea. It does work, if done correctly. And could prove to be cost effective.
