A great film in my opinion. I love the "slow burner" (excuse the pun) aspect to it. Tense set up's where nothing really much happens then boom,...and you all know what bit im on about.

I saw this movie for the first time about 2 months ago and loved it. I'd put it in the top 10 horror movies I've ever seen.
Really good story, amazing special effects by Tom Savini and best of all, really good, believable characters that you actually care about!

The Burning would definitely go in my top 10 slasher films. Savini is a master of SFX. I love his attention to detail even if some prosthetics look a tad crude,....it beats CGI. Im not a huge fan of CGI in horror. CGI has its place like Disney films, but not horror. We just talked about this a few nights ago. Got me wanting to check it out. You should. Theres an infamous scene in it, and the tension builds so when it happens its like "cooool"!.

I'll take crude practical effects over CGI any day of the week.
Don't worry Gore Father, next time Scott comes over I'll make sure he watches it.

Is this the one with Jason Alexander in it? If so, seen it and liked it.
