Man, I completely forgot about NWO Hogan in the WWF/E. Never saw that match either, that was pretty good. Cool way to turn him face again. It wasn't even a planned turn. The crowd FORCED the WWE to push Hogan as a face after that. They had to bring the Red & Yellow back because the fans wanted him to be the good guy. Yeah, the NWO was huge for what it was, but at that point the fans wanted him to be a hero again after so many years of being a villain, to the point where, in that match, they were almost ready to boo Rock out of the building. I just love seeing how that was done. I just wish WWE would take the hint again with Cena and turn him heel as many fans want. But that's neither here nor there.

That makes it even more awesome. I love it when something they weren't expecting happens. So Hall and Nash attacking him was spur of the moment?

You knew there was no way to keep Hogan heel after the fans cheered him hitting Rock's ambulance with a truck.

Yeah, they were cheering him up to the match. You could tell the turn was going to come, but I think that WM match showed how necessary it was. Hogan could do no wrong, and he tried to kill the damn Rock,

Rock was at an all time high of fan favoritism, and he still got booed when he faced a "heel" Hogan. Fans love the guy no matter what, so it had to be done. Led to a lot of fun matches and scenarios too.

Hogan looked great in that match, and I think the guy was average in the ring at best. Physique looked good too. That's what I noticed first actually. Damn, he's in great shape.

Hogan's 2002+ face run is one of my all time favorite runs. He had some great dream matches, put over the right wrestlers, and gave the crowd the nostalgia it needed at the time. Remember, Hogan left the WWF as a face, and its fans seemed to remember him as such, so that heel return just didn't fly with them. They wanted their childhood hero back, and Vince was smart enough to give it to them. Hell, he got one more run with the gold at the time too. And it was a believable run.

Hard to believe that was 10 years ago? 2002, I feel old. How's he doing in TNA? I don't watch it.

Now that he's less in the limelight, he's adding to the program. I took a whike, but him and Sting are finally balanced properly and not overshadowing the talent.

And Flair still comes out and gets his ass beat and bloodied? Why not pay him to be behind the scenes and book or whatever. Call him a road agent like Tony Garea and pay him to watch people.

Flair's pretty much gone, been so for about 4 months now. He looked like he sabotaged his job there in hopes of getting back in the 'E. And then TNA sued WWE about insider trading or some ish and Flair's just sitting in limbo right now.

Speaking of Flair, how about Ric Flair vs Macho Man from WM 8? A match that felt so very real due to the amazing buildup leading to it. Can't find a good video of it to put up, but I'm sure you all remember how awesome it was.

I remember it for the most part, and you're right, the video out there for this sucks.

So much emotion and drama pre- mid- and post- match it is almost the perfect storm of wrestling matches. I love watching this one.

Couldn't find a good quality video of the whole match, but this highlight video is pretty good.
