Well I guess I don't need to post my choice since you already did. So I'll say what I think is the second best match, Steamboat vs Savage at Mania 3.

I haven't seen a lot of the more recent Wrestlemanias, so I guess I'll go with this one too. I thought the Michaels/Undertaker match from a few years back was pretty good, and the Michaels/Flair match that "ended" Flairs career.

I'd have to give Austin and Hart at 13 a nod as well.

I gotta agree with the Michaels/Angle match myself. Didn't need to be for a belt, just about who was the best. 2 guys at high points in their career just going out there and stealing the show. No needless gimmicks, no run in's, nothing. Just pure wrestling and story telling at it's very best.

Nice try there Dave. But the thing is, Austin/Hart is easily second or third on the list. It's a match that brought a lot of emotion and completely changed the landscape of the WWE at the time. While Michaels/Angle as a match, for me, was the better and more technical match, Austin/Hart was more meaningful and had a bigger impact.
One of my favorite matches had nothing to do with the wrestling and everything to do about the story and passing a torch. It has no right to be as good a match as it is, but these two men busted their ass and closed out a show in awesome fashion.

You'd never figure a match with these 2 guys would be so damn entertaining, but they managed to put on a classic.

Hogan knew when a match was important, how to make it so. Politically, he's a piece of ish, but he earned his spot with matches like these and a few others that will hit this thread eventually. Maybe someone else will post one. Warrior Warrior "Warrior" Warrior... how do I explain thee. The man was a horrible talent, lacked all literacy it seemed, yet he was pushed perfectly. And while he was a horrible wrestler on his own, he has had some memorable matches because of how he was guided by guys like Hogan. And this man. This was one of the most emotional matches I've ever seen at a WM event. Still has an impact to it.

The match everyone talked about but never thought would happen. Hogan vs Rock was just incredible. I've never seen such a reaction from a crowd in my entire life.

Again, 2 less than stellar wrestlers putting on an extremely emotional match. The story behind it was engrossing, and the crowd reaction just made it over the top. The true main event of that WM. One of the few times they should have ended on a special feature match.

Hunter/Jericho never had a prayer of following this match.

Man, I completely forgot about NWO Hogan in the WWF/E. Never saw that match either, that was pretty good. Cool way to turn him face again.

I don't think any match can ever hope to whip a crowd into a frenzy like that ever again. That's some once in a lifetime magic right there.
