It's that time of year when a lot of channels are showing every type of horror movie out there. From the older classics to the newer crap.
I know there are certain movies I expect to see every Halloween, and I'll go out of my way to catch all of them. Some must sees for me are any of the classic Universal films, doesn't matter which ones really. But if it's a classic Universal monster film, I'm watching it. Some others I feel the season would be incomplete without are the original Halloween series. 1, 2, and yes, even Halloween 3. I've really come to love this movie over the years. A Romero zombie film is a must, and to me, in order of release. But, I'd gladly watch any if it were on. Except maybe Land of the Dead. Doesn't matter to me this time of year, or any actually, if I see that one.
Let's see, The Fog, original, is always a blast. And, I need at least a little Vincent Price. Preferably House on Haunted Hill. But, anything he's in would probably do.
So, do any of you have movies that it just wouldn't feel like Halloween if you didn't see?

I might take the 31st off if I can't find my "Ghost Faced Killer" mask from the Scream series to wear to work. Just wouldn't feel right, I know I have it somewhere in the apartment. Might buy a fake knife and blood at the Party City and screw around with my work shirt if I can find the mask.
If I stay home, I'm marathoning Night, Dawn, Day, Night remake and Dawn remake. Oh, so many zombies.
And Shaun of the Dead to cap it off for the shits and giggles.

That sounds like awesome Halloween viewing!! Wouldn't mind doing a Romero marathon myself.

Man, I'll be doing that a lot. I think this weekend I'm going to marathon as many of the Price movies I have, ending it with the classics Fly trilogy (Even though Curse of the Fly is Price-less (hyuk hyuk hyuk!)).
The following weekend is a marathon of Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2, leading up to the premiere of season 3 (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!).
The week after, hell, I got plenty of films to watch, I'm not worried at all. Almost wish I saved the Basement box set now, would be an awesome Halloween treat. Next year.
I'm going to have to find a way to make this one hell of a scary October. Damn, hope I have enough films I haven't already seen recently. Might be forced to pick up a few unknown flicks from the dollar store just to fill the time.

I'll definitely be doing at least the first 3 Halloweens, and maybe the first 3 Hellraisers. And, I'm sure we'll be doing at least the second season of The Walking Dead, just to refresh.
I'd like to do some newer movies this year, and I've already seen Cabin in the Woods, the new Lake Placid, and The Loved Ones. But, there are so many classics I feel like I need to see this time of year, it's gonna be tough to squeeze in a lot of new ones. I do have a double feature of Vincent Price coming next from NetFlix, Theater of Blood, and Madhouse. Not a huge fan of Madhouse, but after you posted about Theater of Blood, I really wanted to see it again, and this is the only way they have it. I think I'll suffer through OK.

The original Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street seem like good Halloween standards.

Sadly, I have none of the original Fridays available to me. I only have Jason X and Freddy vs Jason, and we all know those don't really count. But they are great films I love watching, so I can easily watch them over again.

I have NOES 1-4 I think, but I don't think I have any Friday movies. Theater of Blood will be here today, so, pumped for that. Hopefully I'll get a call to come to work and will have to postpone it til this evening though, that would be nice.

Yes, yes it would. I just watched all 7 Nightmares in the last 2 months, so I'm going to have to pass on those. Well, maybe watch the original because that never gets old.

Wow I haven't seen Theater of Blood for years, that's definitely on my list. It might be a pretty hectic few weeks for my husband and I, but I am sure we can squeeze in the odd horror here and there. I'll probably watch the usual Universal classics, Nosferatu, one of George A Romero's zombie flicks, Halloween... I really want to try a couple of new films this year. A while ago someone recommended the 1922 silent, Danish film Haxan to me, so might give that one a shot.

Theater of Blood was every bit as good as I remembered. Really glad to have seen that again.
I've never heard of Haxan, but the wife and I both like silent films, so that could be an interesting watch.
