Felt like a mini-marathon tonight, and I couldn't have chosen better. Had a bad day today, so seeing hundreds of rage infected assholes get puddin'ed by a helicopter blade made me feel so much better.
I never get tired of watching these two films. Just a great series where I both hope we do and don't get the suggested 28 Months Later. Dunno if they can follow up on these, but if they tried, it could be amazing.

It would be pretty hard to follow up, but I think it could be done. Seems like a series that could make an amazing trilogy.

That's the thing, it could go either way. It's a great story and it feels like there is another chapter in it after the developments in the second movie. A lot to explore, and I'm disappointed there really hasn't been that final chapter yet. But I fear they could screw the pooch on this one, too, and make it a stinker, taking away from the series legacy.

I loved the first one, but the second one and the husband/wife thing just made me feel bad. Maybe not bad, but funny. That was a brutal scene, and I love the gore and all, but that just hit me hard.
I think there could easily be a third movie, just don't know if it would be any good or not.

All I know is that if they made another, I'd certainly go see it.

If they made another, I'd watch it but I can see just how easy it would be to mess this up. It would be nice if another was made, but I doubt it will happen.

Now would seem to be the best time to go for it, seeing as how zombies are all the rage at the moment (see what I did there?).

And it's been a right timeframe between movies to make it work. Plus, they are a different type of zombie, something not seen everyday. I like them.

That ending had me so hyped for a third. I remember thinking "Wow, this is going to get even crazier!"

Exactly. Take it out of England. See how f*cked the rest of the world is as we go into a type of Dawn of the Dead style movie and focus on the survival of people, similar to the first film, but in a more apocalyptic setting. In 28 weeks, the virus revived and evolved. In 28 months, the whole world went to ish.

That would be a great end to it. No need for 28 Years Later. At that point I'd just presume everyone is either infected or dead.

Of course, this is really only set for a trilogy. Anything after that is pushing it, especially considering the title sequence.

With what you guys are saying you really have me thinking how awesome a sequel could be. Damn you both.
