"A mysterious creature from another planet, resembling a giant blob of jelly, lands on earth. The people of a nearby small town refuse to listen to some teenagers who have witnessed the blob's destructive power. In the meantime, the blob just keeps on getting bigger. "
Just finished watching this on demand. Well, most of it on demand until it got all f*cked up and I had to watch the last 6 minutes on youtube.
I've never seen this flick but know it scared the bejeezus out of my mother back in the day. So when I saw I could watch it on Turner Classic Movies on demand, I had to. And it had been worth it. A classic of a film which impressed me with its graphics. This has become a must own for my dvd collection, especially since there is a Criterion Collection set out there, so I gotta have that.

I really did enjoy sitting through it. I wish I watched it earlier. I can understand the fear it caused.

It came out when all the atomic age catastrophe movies did, and people bought into that stuff big time. Heck, I would have too back then. Great graphics for back then too, one of my favorites.

My Dad had this one on VHS and I used to watch it all the time. I honestly think I used to watch it every other week. Amazing classic film.
Never knew there was a Criterion Collection DVD. I gotta look into getting that.
