Made good on my threat by watching at least one other Gordon/Combs/Crampton movie, lol. And what a great one it was.
One of my favorites of all time. The "oh crap" moments in this are freaking great. Combs is great as Herbert West, and the movie just leaves you feeling...bad, lol. Great film by Gordon that I could watch any time. Part 2 is definitely happening tomorrow.

All of these movies were fun. So many wtf moments in them. I think if you tried to get this released today, the MPAA would have a heart attack.

The first time I saw the first one I almost had a panic attack. Everything went so wrong and so bad, so fast, lol. I loved it and hated it at the same time. Freaking classic series. I wasn't expecting much the first time I saw Beyond Re-Animator, I was very happy that it did the series justice.

Beyond Re-Animator is a very good sequel. The CGI was crappy, but it still had mostly practical effects and still had the same dark humor as the other 2.

It felt like it just picked right up to me. Of the three in the series, I think Bride was the worst. Worst meaning just not as awesome in this case, lol.

Even at its worst, it's still a fun flick. Definitely a damn fine series overall.

Re-Animator, Bride of Re-Animator then Beyond Re-Animator. Bride looks terrible, I couldn't even find it widescreen, but from what I read it was never released optimized, just taken right from the tape. And, it was the only one I didn't already have on DVD, so I couldn't verify that.
I know it and the original are out on BD now though, If you end up liking it that much. I hope you do, the whole series is a blast.

It would be awesome if they did a cool custom box for it, like they did with The Walking Dead zombie head, or the Evil Dead Necrinomicon. It could be the severed head of Professor Hill, that would be freaking awesome, lol.
