After his latest accusations, Steelers fans are turning on Big Ben it seems. Let's see, he gets paid millions to play, and he's in the spotlight more for his off field womanizing than his on field play. The guy is a great QB, no doubt. Gotta live a quiet life off the field. No one wants a womanizer(other titles could apply based on the charges claimed) representing them.
What's wrong with being a decent person off the field and acting like a responsible person? After the first claim of...misconduct, I could have attributed it to a money grubbing girl wanting to put the screws to him. But now, it appears that isn't the case. I just wonder how long Pittsburgh is willing to take the bad press and deal with him.

Actually, after thinking more about this, I think a lot of people put professional athletes in some sort of super human category, when that isn't the case at all. Yes, they're very good at their particular sport, but aside from that they're just people. Nobody bats an eye when Joe Nobody gets in a fix like this, but because it's Ben, he gets raked over the coals. I don't know.....you'd think someone with as much to lose as him, career wise, would be a little smarter in the way he conducts himself.
Regardless of if the accusations are true, being accused is just as bad sometimes.

Yeah. They are normal people, just gifted in the sport they play. But, if you're a professional athlete, you have to realize that when you don't conduct yourself as a professional, you're going to be called out on it.
He's a young, single guy with a lot of money. Plus he's in the prime of his career and already has 2 SuperBowl rings. I'm sure available women are all over him. I won't say whether I think he did what he's accused of or not, because my opinion doesn't really matter on that. But I will say he's a great target for a young lady looking to take advantage. Even if he did nothing, saying he did would get a lot of people to make a pay-off just to not hurt their image. The fact that he hasn't done that lends some credibility to him saying nothing happened in my book. But, it's still out there, and 2 SuperBowls wins or not, a town doesn't like bad press.
I hate the Steelers as a team, and in no way am I a Ben Roethlisberger fan, but the guy has talent. I hope it all works out for the best for him.

Well, either way, his name continually brought up like this is hurting his image, and the image of the team he plays for. I'm not a Steelers fan either, but they have to be getting tired of the negative press from Ben. I hope it works out well too, but I just wonder where they'll draw the line.
