I have never been a fan of this series, but the reboot really caught my attention. I picked it up at the midnight release and so far, I have been absolutely blown away by it!
The graphics are amazing, control is great, and it's just plain fun! Square Enix and Eidos did a great job with this reboot. Seeing how Lara became the fearless bad ass she is now is a great story and can now open the series up to a new series of fans. I strongly recommend it.

The graphics look great in that. I've played the Tomb Raider games since the beginning back on the PSX. I'm actually playing Tomb Raider:Underworld on the PC now. My only problem with them, and this has held true for almost every one I've played, I always get stuck somewhere trying to make some insanely difficult jumps to get to the next area. I end up getting frustrated and walking away from them. But, that's not the games fault, that's mine for having no patience, lol. That looks good, I'll have to look for it used in a few weeks.

Never played any Tomb Raider game ever, and I don't plan on playing this.
I do like the movies.

Do you play video games at all Scott? I don't know that I've ever seen you mention it.

I only own 2 SNES and a shitload of Gameboys.
Oh, and a hacked PSP I really need to charge and play again. All my bathroom time has been dedicated to a stack of comics I need to read through, so my game playing time has been put to the side for now.

Oh right, I forgot about the SNES you found. My wife had gotten her oldest son a Sega Game Gear years back, it was one of the best handhelds I ever played, primarily because it was the only one back lit back then. My son dropped it and broke it...that sucked. Never had a PSP or a Gameboy, only played the ones my kids had. I still play the old consoles all the time though.

I love the GBs. I mainly play only 2 games, though. Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced and anything Pokemon. I won't lie, I love those games. I got FireRed from my coworker who was shitcanned. Last time I saw him, too. Now I can trade with my Sapphire game! Eeee!

I like how in this one you can level up your skills and get better at certain things like using your weapons and holding more ammo.
They made this one a lot more easy to play. I always sucked at solving the puzzles and never knew where the hell I was supposed to go. So far I haven't had trouble with that, though I imagine it'll get more difficult as I get further into the game.

That's what's happened in TR Underworld. I was doing well and getting through the levels OK. They were tough, but I managed to figure them out and get through them. Then I hit the Mayan temples, and it came to a halt. I've been stuck there since around Christmas, even with a walkthrough I can't figure it out.

They help you out quite a bit in this one by giving you something called "Survival Instinct." It highlights specific things around you so you can figure out where to go or what you have to do to progress. If worse comes to worse, I have the strategy guide to help me out.

Oh, I'm sure you'll do fine. I just don't think my brain is made for the types of puzzles the one I'm playing is throwing at me, lol. I'll still check out the new one, I'm a glutton for punishment.

The puzzles in the older games were definitely too much for my brain to handle. I've never been great at solving puzzles in games. So far this one seems more focused on action and platforming. That I can handle.
