I'm a big fan of Nascar racing, haven't played the games though. I was a huge Dale Earnhardt fan, not so much on his sons.

His other son is named Kerry, right? I don't think he races anymore, and I think Dale Jr. is way overrated, though I do root for him to win if he's got a shot. I like Kevin Harvick and Matt Kenseth too. Great sport, love watching it.

Todays race is a prime example of the skill needed to race Nascar. Today is Infineon, the road course. No turning left all day today, this is gonna be good!!

It was a great race Lee!! The thing about Nascar is that the drivers will sometimes get into another car to get it out of the way, often causing the other car to wreck.
Being a road course yesterday, a lot of turning and cars bunching up in the turns, so there was a lot of contact. Early on Tony Stewart purposely got into the back of Brian Vickers and spun him out costing him 8 or 9 positions. So the race goes on and Stewart is doing well, then with about 16 laps left, guess who comes back and wrecks Stewart and destroys his car putting him out of the race? Yup, Brian Vickers, lol. The commentators were like, well, there's his payback. Even Stewart said it, lol. I mean, how could he be mad? He did it first.
Oh, and Kurt Busch won. I like him OK, glad it was him and not his brother. Great race.

it sounds like they throw a bit of demolition derby into the race just to liven things up a bit.

it sounds like they throw a bit of demolition derby into the race just to liven things up a bit. Well, Stewart accused Vickers of blocking him, and not letting him by. Stewart said he will continue to bump and get into anyone who tries to block him. Sunday, he came out on the short end. you don't get marked or pointed for that? Yeah, Tony. They'll deduct points for it, and if it's really bad or the driver continually is rough driving or getting into people they can black flag the driver meaning no matter what position he finishes in, he'll officially be last in the record book for that race. And, in some cases, a driver will be suspended for a couple of races. The key is to make it look unintentional. Jostling and bumping happen, and cars wreck. Part of the sport. It's the ones that just flat out go after someone that usually get flagged. And, sometimes punched in the face after the race, lol.

That was a great race. And I've seen fist fights more than a few times. These guys get worked up, and if they think you wrecked them on purpose, they'll come after you.

Yeah, Lee. I watched that race, lol. He had the drivers laughing hard. Inappropriate, but funny.
