Daredevil is back homeIt would be nice if they made a better Daredevil movie, but I think with all the plans they already have in place, it'll be a while before they get to it.

They need to start establishing some street level characters. While all this huge, over the top superheroes are great, there are so many untapped characters that would have great chances at creating new franchises within the MCU.
Luke Cage and Iron Fist, Heroes for Hire. Shang Chi, Master of Kung Fu. Daredevil, The Man Without Fear. The Black Panther. All of these have so much potential to be great, and many more.
Daredevil, if they want to make a good movie here, they need to just straight up adapt Frank Miller's series from the 80s. His portrayal of Daredevil, Bullseye and Elektra are what people still compare the characters to today. Plus Daredevil has a history with Black Widow, so there's your Avengers connection.

Seeing a few more grounded super heroes would be nice. I would freaking love to see an Iron Fist movie.

I don't know who most of those are, and I know the Daredevil movie with Ben Affleck was largely panned. But, I'd go with what you said Scott, especially having The Avengers tie in.

Frank Miller made Daredevil a straight up ninja. His back story, being trained by a blind ninja on the rooftops on NYC, being trained to fight the Hand, a clan of "undead" ninja assassins, could be an awesome story. Second film can follow it up as Daredevil find himself in a relationship with Elektra, a former Hand assassin, now out to destroy the clan, who was also trained by Stick (that blind ninja). They end up comrades in arms, until the Hand bring out their biggest gun, Bullseye (which originally has no relations to the Hand but what the hell, make it connect for the sake of the movie) and they fight to survive. Or something like that. It could be broken up into 3 different films. And we could do it all WITHOUT the Kingpin, because no one will ever top Duncan's portrayal of him on the big screen.

Bullseye stabbing Elektra with her own sai. She crawls to Daredevil's door and she dies in his arms.

Definitely a better chance of it happening with Marvel in control.

Man, if Disney only bought both Marvel AND DC.
Although, I wouldn't be surprised to see a wookie show up in Guardians...
