Just watched this and it's an OK movie to me. Seemed like all the horror movies made around this time had the same sort of feel to them. I hadn't seen this in a long time and it was on, not bad at all. Not great, but not bad.

It was scream with less cell phones and more meat hooks. I can live without it and its sequels.

It was mindless horror. This one, Scream, Urban Legend...just felt like the same movie with different scripts. I'm sure there were more I could add. At least Scream kind of made you think about who was actually killing everyone. And, that opening scene with Drew Barrymore was just brutal. That still makes me feel bad.

I do enjoy mindless fun and violence, but for a long time these horror films were just cranked out with similar stories. Cry Wolf comes to mind, I'm sure others will. The not-so-high-school-aged high schoolers being hunted down over some sort of revenge.

Without giving anything away ... it would have been so much better if all was left the first round. It felt the 2nd round didn't really smooth from the first part and I don't think I saw the 3rd one "always" but maybe I did and forgot it. I agree that it was sitting with all the rest of the movies like scream. Funny that scream was supposed to be a comedy and yet even I thought it was pretty good as a movie ... and then something that was supposed to be a comedy got spoofed with comedy.

Agree with you Jenn about the spoof getting spoofed.
Scream was a nice breath of fresh air when it came out, and the sequel was pretty good too. Didn't care much about I Know... and Urban Legend much. They really all did feel like the exact same film with a different cast.
