So, I had an older 360 that my old boss had given me as a Christmas gift 3 or 4 years ago. Well, it finally died, and I went to buy a new one. I wanted one of the smaller, black, queiter ones anyway, and this was the time.
I didn't get one with a hard drive, because I'm an idiot, and just figured my old one would snap right on. When I got home and realized that wouldn't work, I purchased a 250 gig HD from NewEgg, and a transfer cable. Transferred everything fine, all my save were there, etc.
Then, when playing Nascar 09 last night, it occurred to me that every time I played it asked which storage device I wanted to use. I always picked the hard drive, but noticed that data was also on the internal memory unit. I transferred that to my hard drive thinking that was more of the game, and it wiped my saves.
It's like I've never even played the game, everything is gone. I'm so pissed I can't even play the game anymore.
So, for any gaming junkies like me out there, is there any way to reclaim those saves? Are they hidden somewhere, or just gone? Thanks for any help.

Posted on their support forum, hopefully someone can help. But, I scoured the hard drive and memory unit...seems the data is gone. Too scared to try my Madden game, lol. If the saves for that are gone too, I'm gonna lose it. im a ps3 fan this makes me wonder if the old ps3 hard drive will work with the ps3 slim? Don't know Tony. I've never even played a PS3 except for the display model in Best Buy.

just a thought endo, did you transfer everything over from your old hard drive ? Yeah, and everything was working great. Then, like I mentioned, I noticed there was more data for the game still on the memory unit. So, I transferred that to the hard drive to, and that's when the data got wiped.

That's the funny thing Lee. I went from being really upset, to the feeling like, screw it...I'll start over and do better this time. Tried to race a few last night, and I just couldn't get into it. Don't know if it's cause I'm starting all over, or if I'm so disgusted I just don't want to play it anymore, lol. Still haven't checked my Madden saves. I'll do that in a bit.

the thing that makes me leave the x-box alone for a month or so is the games start to become repetitive.

I was given the original Xbox and the 360 as gifts, and I guess I just always stayed with them. When my old 360 died, I contemplated a ps3, but had no games for it. Then I looked at what I did have, and it was way too many 360 games to just trade them in and lose an ass load of money.
That was the deciding factor in getting another 360. No console is perfect, but man, the 360 pisses me off.

the only reason i bought an x-box was halo. when the second halo was released, my old boss let me go out and queue up for two copies. one for me and one for his son. he was cool for a boss.
