The Night Flier came out in 1997 and was based off of a Stephen King story of the same name. Youtube user "Dwight Renfield" posted this footage today, that has previously been unseen. No word on who the Renfield guy really is, but the name is the name of the pilot in the movie..
"An unknown vampiric Cessna pilot is suspected of night murders at remote airfields. At the tabloid Inside View, longtime reporter Richard Dees (Miguel Ferrer) expresses disinterest, so eager newcomer Katherine Blair (Julie Entwisle) is instead given the story by editor Merton Morrison (Dan Monahan). Then there’s another murder, prompting Dees to reverse himself. He demands the story back and takes after the killer in his one private plane, tracking witnesses, gathering grue, and staging photos when the subject looks too dull. Blair is also on the trail, and the two newshounds are soon competing. Both are out for blood — and so is the night flier."
I like this movie a lot, so I'm gonna check out the extra footage. If you've never seen the movie, or want to refresh your memory, here's the released version.
And here is the hour plus or unreleased footage...

I remember renting this from Blockbuster way back when and enjoying it a lot. It'd be nice if they put this out on BD with all that extra footage either spliced in or shown as deleted scenes. I know I'd buy it.

It was one of the last really good vampires movies I saw. Hell, I don't think I enjoyed one after that until the Fright Night remake.

Probably one of my favorite King adaptations. Miguel Ferrer is great in it.

I miss bad ass, ugly vampires. We need to bring those back.
