It has to be Nightmare on Elmstreet 3. I dont know what anyone else thinks but the horror comedy"Shaun of the dead" was really good

i know a few people that enjoyed it but honestly it was like watching the original except freddy lost his cool (i think there was one joke made) it is a bit more disturbing with the child molester if you want to watch it before you buy it check it out here www.megavideo.com/?v=0HYYB9PY (may or may not have 2 pop ups) if you are a one of those horror fans that have seen all the movies watch it if your new to the freddy krueger watch it i think some freddy fans may not like it

I didn't really care for the new version of the original. I didn't think it was a horrible movie, just wasn't what I was expecting. Like Tony said, it was basically like the same movie, but without Robert Englund's camp that he brought to the role.
I thought Hailey was going to be great in the role, but it just didn't seem to fit the film. I did like the back story on how Freddy bacame the way he is now, but they didn't spend enough time on that, glossed over it really.

My favourite Freddy film is part 4 ~ The Dream Master. I just love the way Alice invokes everyone's strengths and kicks his ass!

when the original nightmare on elm street was released, one of my old school mates brought it in school for us to watch at the end of term. i was surprised the teacher allowed it. he must have thought "anything for a quiet life"

The thing i hate the most about freddy is his face lol that doesn't make sense really but i was out in arizona for work and ended up getting busted on a dui now i dont know anyone else but AZ has a Super Extreme Dui law that they hit me with so i ended up spending a lot of time in arizona's tent city jail system saturday and sunday we got cold meat for breakfast instead of peanut butter... the meat looked like freddy's face couldn't eat the junk

I think the scene where tina dies in the very first film is still one of the best horror movie scenes ever.. talk about making a splash and the scene where glen dies is pretty awesome too for a very early, 'pre-special effects gore-fest movies' film.

The scene where he's walking down the alley and his arms are really long? That was scary!! I was young, and I saw the commercial, and a glimpse of that scene, and I was hooked man. Great movie. Still good today.
I guess I'm in the minority, but I didn't care too much for the sequels. They lost the pure horror vibe and replaced it with Freddy being way too campy, IMO. It was perfect in the first one. A proper balance. Just went to far to the always joking side to me.
The first one was scary!! Love it.

i bought the 7 disc ultimate collectors edition of the nightmare on elm street films. i went round to a friends house after i'd bought it and she asked what the dvd was. i showed her and she freaked out. i guess she don't like freddy.

I have the dvd collection as well... the first is fabulous, definatly was craven at his best. I like most of the sequeals but agree with endo, they did get cheesier, and slightly more daft and were nt as scarey as the first.
