You know, I don't think we have a thread for this film here. I can't be the only one to have seen it, let alone enjoy it. It's been a film I've watched repeatedly since it came out (less so in the last few years). Actually, it's one of the first DVDs I ever bought.
"After being hypnotized by his sister in law, a man begins seeing haunting visions of a girl's ghost and a mystery begins to unfold around her."

Man, I need to watch this one this weekend. Screw the random picking. Haven't seen it in a while.

Same here. Haven't seen this in a long time and I do like it, very underrated movie.

I've wanted to see this movie, but I never have. Gotta change that at some point.

I'm shocked to type that. Wish Netflix would get it.

Had I known I would have brought that by for a movie night years ago. Like I said, one of the first dvds I ever bought.

Oh man, I love Stir of Echoes! I saw it as a kid and its a classic (well, modern classic I suppose) in my opinion. Its criminally underrated, most of the time when I mention it to people they don't know what I'm talking about

Yeah, I never read or hear much about it. Surprising, it's a pretty damn good film that doesn't get enough recognition.

It really is. I think part of the problem is that it was released just after The Sixth Sense, which was really popular. The movies are superficially similar and I wouldn't be surprised if people wrote off Stir of Echoes for being a cheap copy (even though Stir of Echoes is based on a much older book).
I know the same thing happened to the TV show Wonderfalls because people thought it was a knock-off of Joan of Arcadia.

Which is sad, because I think Stir of Echoes is a much better film than The Sixth Sense, IMO.

M. Night Shyamalan ruins everything, even films he doesn't touch.

Well, they stopped putting his name on the films he directs because they know his name is box office cancer. Still didn't save After Earth. His career is basically dead at this point.

Why do people keep letting him make movies?!

I have no idea. Because they want to see how bad they'll bomb just so they can laugh? They have money to waste?
