I was on the fence as to whether to add this to my horror-o-thon for Halloween, but thought it was fair game. (My DVD's go comedy-horror, supernatural, mythical (Vampires & werewolfs) to pure horror.
Anyway, yeah saw this as a kid and have always loved it. Always wondered what happened to the guy who played "Billy". Plus good cast - Hoyt Ax,ton (Randall Peltzer), Dick Miller (Mr Flutterman), Corey Feldman (Pete Fountaine), Phoebe Cates (Kate Beringer). The only bit that got me was the bit with the exploding gremlin in the microwave, still the whole film was and still is pure awesomeness.

I never saw The Goonies believe it or not, or if I did I don't remember it at all. Definitely be nice to finally have it since everyone raves about it so much. Saw Goonies a few times as a youth, but it's been decades at least. I gotta get it because I just want that set. 3 good films? Gonna be a good time all around.

Not surprising that he's working, but that I haven't seen much of what he's been in either. Horror wise he went on to do Waxwork and is in Hatchet III.

He was awesome in Hatchet III, and I had no idea it was him. Sometimes being a niche player is better than no career at all. Look at guys like Tony Todd and Kane Hodder. Works for them, right?

Absolutely. Galligan has had no shortage of other roles either. I was surprised when I checked his IMDB page.

So was I, honestly. I don't think I've seen any of his other work outside of Gremlins/G2 and Hatchet III.

I've seen those and the 2 Waxworks films. Other than that, no.

I genuinally found this creepy as a kid. They were just gross! all that slime and s**t. ewww!
I found the ending the scariest bit..... cant remember the line but something about how they could be hiding under the bed or something along those lines. spooked me!

The first one is a lot of fun, don't remember much about the second.

second was pretty naff but funny all at the same time, the gremlin babies got loose at a tv station drank a load of potions from the animal testing lab, and turned into giant spiders and transvestites. I think that was the second one.

I love Gremlins 2. I was referring to the second Waxworks movie.

I haven't seen Gremlins 2 in a long, long time. I have got to change that soon enough with that BD 3 pack.

I love this movie. Great Christmas horror. Gremlins 2: The New Batch isn't as scary, in fact more jokey, but is just as good if not funner.
I do love Phoebe Cates in this. Her character's reasoning for hating Christmas is sad, but always memorable.
Knowing that Howie Mandel is Gizmo is mind-blowing.
I would love a Gremlins 3 movie with Joe Dante behind the camera again, but I think that time has slipped away.
Stripe is a great villain.
