Not too many teams seem to be interested in signing Terrell Owens since he was released by the Bills earlier this off season.
The Raiders are the latest team that has passed on him. So have the Seahawks, Browns and Jaguars among others. The guy is talented, but he's been in the league a while now, and I'm not sure if his current playing ability is a good trade off for the antics he can bring with him. He didn't stir up much trouble with the Bills in his only season there though, so maybe he's realized he needs to knock that off and just play.
Be interesting to see where he ends up.

I think a lot of teams are afraid to sign him. Like you said, he has been in the league a long time being drafted by the 49'ers in 1996. 14 years in the league doesn't necessarily mean he can't play at a high level any more, but he's certainly not young any more, by NFL standards anyway. But his age aside, I think more teams are afraid he'd be too disruptive like he was in Philly and Dallas, despite the quiet season he spent in Buffalo. I just don't think a team hoping for a Super Bowl run wants to take the chance on him. A team in the process of rebuilding may be a place for him. He definitely has the stats with almost 15,000 yards receiving and 144 TD's. As long as he doesn't end up on the Skins roster, doesn't really matter to me where he goes, even though McNabb has brought his name up recently. I don't hate the guy, and wish him luck, just not as a Redskin.

I don't think you have to worry about Shanahan signing him. His first year as coach of the Redskins, I doubt he wants any distractions of any kind. I tell you who the Redskins should drop to free up money for other players, is Albert Haynesworth,
This is the same guy from the Titans who stomped that guy in the head with no helmet on right? Right there I wouldn't want him on my team. And, from what I've seen, he's hurt more than he plays. For $100 million? Send him packing and use the money better somewhere else.

Yeah, from what I saw last season, Haynesworth wasn't nearly worth the money the Skins are paying him. When he actually played, he just seemed OK. Nothing special. A few sacks....but, it seemed like every game he was hurt at some point. I don't know what they'd have to pay him if they terminated his contract, but the money could definitely be used better elsewhere. Maybe he'll be healed up for this season and show me something...
