 "MPI/Dark Sky Films, one of the leading distributors of independent and genre films, announced today they will be releasing a restored version of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Tobe Hooper’s 1974 classic. The re-release comes in celebration of the film’s 40th anniversary with the restoration having its unveiling at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin, Texas, next week. The new version of the film will be released in theaters this summer with a brand new 4K transfer, roughly four times the resolution of today’s more commonly used 2K for cinema. This is the only transfer of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre to go back to the original 16mm A/B rolls, the actual film that rolled through the cameras." linkIn theaters June 20th. |

I've never seen it. I've almost bought it several times, but there are always versions available. But I really want to see it.

It's a good movie. I don't know if it's as great as some say, but it's a classic and I'd love to see it on the big screen.

It's a great movie. I'll definitely be seeing this. I kept putting it as a suggestion for Sunshine, but this is even better.
