Checking up the Cinema Village site in hopes they were carrying Cold in July (which they are not ) but I happened to come across this movie. It's called Stand Clear of the Closing Doors. Any NYer worth their salt will recognize that right away, which is why it caught my attention. Synopsis of the film is: STAND CLEAR OF THE CLOSING DOORS tells the story of Ricky, a 13-year old boy with Asperger’s Syndrome who gets lost one day in the New York City subway system.
While his mother frantically searches for him above ground, the sensory-sensitive Ricky is exposed to the cacophony, eccentricity, and menace found in New York’s underground (including some scenes shot during Hurricane Sandy, which came to figure into the film’s story), resulting in a truly authentic view into both the wonders and the horrors of what lies below. See, this is a film I want to see, as a daily strap-hanger. I see the subway one way, but how do others observe it, and how differently do they do so. Especially someone who has Asperger’s. Something I'm tempted to go see in theaters just because. Trailer: Websites: www.standclearclosingdoors.com/ www.cinemavillage.com/chc/cv/show_movie.asp?movieid=3110www.imdb.com/title/tt2405372/

Definitely sounds like an interesting film. Works for me being a regular subway rider, and also because my girlfriend actually has Aspberger's.

This sounds like something I'd like. Have to keep an eye out for this on Netflix.
