Ok guys so I did some research and what I found out was crazy! The movies "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" "Silence of the Lambs" and "Psycho" were all inspired by the same true story! They were all related to a man by the name of Ed Gein. He was a cerial killer in 1941. His stories of what he did are relative to all three of those movies. Facts about Ed Gein.. -He had a desire to be a women -He had mommy issues -He killed his own mother -He was socially awkward -He had a house in the middle of the woods He used to kidnap women and bring them to his house in the woods and skin and gut them and wear there leather over his skin, just like Thomas Hewitt (Leatherface), but unlike Thomas Hewitt, Ed Gein did not have a skin disease. His reason for wearing the womens' leather was because of his desire to be a women. Ed Gein also did not ever use a chainsaw ahainst his victims. When the came near his house he simply shot them with his pistol. If you go on google and search up Ed Gein you can learn more about him and how he relates to the three hit horror films. -Crazy Fact About Ed Gein. I was reading an article on Ed Gein and there was a story from his childhood that I thought would make a great horror film. Ok so qhen Ed Gein lived on a farm for the most of his childhood and when he was 12 years old there was a random barn fire while him, his mother, and his brother were inside the barn. The fire started and grew rapidly. The boys' mother ran out quickly as the whole building was on fire. Ed Gein and his brother were still inside after about 2 minutes Ed comes running out of the fire without his brother. The father cones out and runs into the burning barn and goes after Ed's brother. About a minute later the father pulls thw boy out but it appears that it is too late as his brother is already dead. When thw cops showed up they asked about the story about who came out at what time and stuff like that because when they examined Ed's brother's body. He had some heat burns all over his body but thats not what killed him. It appeared that the boy had several hit marks in the back of his head that they believed was from a hammer. Now unlike today the didnt exactly have the technology to tell what happened exactly. They investigated Ed Gein knowing that he was still in the barn for awhile doing god knows what. After a month the case was closed do to lack of evidence that Ed Gein killed his brother. There are people today that believe Ed Gein started the fire and used that as a way to cover up his murder. Sime people believe that Ed Gein had no motive to kill his brother and as fir his brother being killed, they believe he passed out in the fire due to smoke damage in his lungs and wood debris fell on the back of his head and killed the boy. Now I dont know about you guys but to me that seems like a great story to a horror movie. It would also sell more due to the fact that it is "based on a true story" Ok guys I hope you enjoyed my facts on Ed Gein! -Thanks
