Not unlike the similarly named genius who formed the X-Men, Dr. Xavier wants to use his special power—in his case, X-ray vision—to help people, but eventually the ability to look through almost anything begins to wear on the doctor, showing him more than he ever hoped to see. Reuniting Ray Milland with director Roger Corman, X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes is coming to Blu-ray and DVD this spring. Directed by Roger Corman off a screenplay by Robert Dillon and Ray Russell, X: The Man with the X-Ray Eyes stars Ray Milland, Diana Van der Vlis, Harold J. Stone, John Hoyt, and Don Rickles. “When the brilliant Dr. Xavier (Milland) concocts a serum to improve human sight, he stumbles upon a formula for x-ray vision. Inspired by its awesome medical potential, but shunned by his short-sighted colleagues, the doctor tests the potion on himself, only to discover that his ability to see through walls, clothing and flesh is slowly eclipsed by and insatiable desire to look still further – even if it means seeing more than any mortal can bear!” linkLook for this one in May.

It's been a long while since I saw this one, but I wasn't as impressed with it as I thought I would be. Great concept, but very subdued and there wasn't much there. At one point I remember Tim Burton being attached to a remake of this. That would have been something. Maybe it's still a possibility.

I'd rather not see Burton take this one on.
