"Film legend Sir Christopher Lee has died at the age of 93, prompting an outpouring of grief from Hollywood stars. The actor - who found fame in the Hammer Horror films before becoming known to a new generation through his role in fantasy blockbusters - had been treated for heart failure and respiratory problems in hospital. He died at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London on Sunday morning after three weeks of treatment, but his widow decided to withhold the news until today so family and friends could be informed." linkRIP Mr. Lee. You were a huge reason for and part of my passion for horror. Really going to be missed. Condolences to his wife and family.

This was a rough one to find out. He was the last of his kind and era. It won't be the same without him.

Definitely and end of an era. Although I grew up with 70's and 80's horror (Mainly the latter), there was still something about those old Hammer Horror films. As I said elsewhere he transcended generations, some will know him mainly for the HH films, others for Star Wars, another generation for the LOTR films. For me it was his role in the original Wicker Man however. Rest In Peace.

The Wicker Man is one of my favorite horror movies. Lee is great as is the whole cast. The dawning realization of what is going to happen to Woodward's character is great to watch.
