Just finished watching the animated film based off this short. Most of the shots seen here were replicated exactly in the animated feature. At one point Disney felt it was too scary for kids and put the kibosh on it and shitcanned Burton until he made it big. Then all was forgiven (thankfully or we might not have A Nightmare Before Christmas).

I love these shorts by Burton. He had such talent even way back when.
I especially love how he got to work with his idol, Vincent Price. I believe they had a relationship much like the one Ed Wood and Bela Lugosi had.
I've always loved Frankenweenie. I find the short much better than the full movie. That short also led to Burton's first feature, Pee-Wee's Big Adventure.
