"It was a foolish thing to do, and Calvin had not bothered with it the past two years, not since the death of his wife and child. But this year he decided quite suddenly, that tomorrow was Christmas Eve. And zombies be damned, the lights and decorations are going up..." * Filming will reportedly begin June 2011 in Nacogdoches, Texas. * Brian James Fitzpatrick was originally set to direct, before getting replaced by Terrill Lee Lankford due to "unforeseen circumstances." * Joe R. Lansdale's daughter Kasey stars. * Associated with and a resident writer at Stephen F. Austin University, Joe will be employing many of the students there in hopes of giving them hands-on filmmaking experience, as well as the use of some of the school's state of the art equipment. * Based on Joe R. Lansdale's (Bubba Ho-Tep) upcoming short story with the same name. www.upcominghorrormovies.com/movie/christmas-deadKinda liking where this could go. Have to hear more.

I'm guessing this will be a straight to DVD release? I can't see this opening up in theaters, though it would be hilarious if it did.

Snakes on a Plane was ridiculous. "Im tired of all these mfing snakes on this mfing plane" I remember when it came out, I thought it was a joke.
I did rent it though...

I own it. I saw it in the theater with my Sis and we loved how cheesy it was. My friend bought 2 copies of it by mistake so I traded him my extra copy of "Manos: The Hands of Fate" for it.
If this does happen to hit theaters, I'd probably go see it for a laugh. No holiday film will beat Silent Night, Deadly Night though.

I posted about this so long ago I forgot about it. Anyway, here's a trailer...
Boy, that was a long wait for such a sorry trailer. This looks terrible.

I forgot all about this too, and it seems we were better off doing so. So much potential for awesomeness, and THIS garbage trailer is what we get?

Yeah, this looks seriously bad. Like to see another trailer, just to be fair. But, If I were going off of this alone, I wouldn't even rent this one.

It doesn't even look like a real movie at all. It seems like a compilation of random clips found on youtube.
