Never heard of this movie until I seen it on Netflix but I seen who the lead actress was, Nikki Reed (Twilight Saga), and decided to give it a go. Keith David stars as the Detective trying to solve the murders but other than him and Nikki, the rest of the cast aren't much to write home about. Chain Letter doesn't have the best story seeing as how it is a movie based around a serial killer who kills teenagers who don't forward a chain letter. Some of the death scenes are pretty nice and they don't shy away from the gore in this movie but all together this isn't a movie I'd re-watch. This also wouldn't be a movie that I'd recommend other people to watch unless of course their a fan of Nikki Reed or if they want to see a guy get chopped in half by a car engine. In the end, I give Chain Letter one star out of five. This wasn't my type of horror movie.

I saw ads for this on the bus and never even knew it came out. It looked and sounded stupid, but it's something I'd watch just once to say I did.

If they would have taken the death scenes from this movie and added them to a movie with a half way decent story it would have been a good movie. The story in Chain Letter was just horrible.

I'll probably give it watch down the road, just to see it. At least now I won't be going in hoping it's great.

It's called Chain Letter. A title like that ensures it would never be great.
