I honestly cannot recall the original film which in a way gives you an idea of how good it was. Today i decided to watch the second film in the series that was originally titled S-vhs but we know it as V/H/S/2. Either of these names could not have saved this film from being what it is but, i might be giving the ending away too soon. As the quote above states two "investigators" break into a house of a missing college student then everything after that is a lie. If you said they broke into an empty home of a student that has been collecting CRT tvs and do no investigating to prove where this kid is and watch the few tapes he had on the floor it would be more accurate. The mini films we see in this movie are creative and at times unique but what they bank on is gore. There is nothing truly terrifying here it's just loud and bloody like my house when my wife finds out i ate the last chocolate bar. I won't go on about the things i disliked because that could be summed up with the name of the film. I will mention the few things i enjoyed; the cult mini film was fun i wish we could have explored that world more the guy exploding was neat but the demon goat? saying "dada" as the victim drips snot and saliva on the camera can be cut out, The zombie go-pro idea was fun too again this was ruined by the ending... that's about it everything else was pretty dumb the aliens were awful the ghost were worse but, the thing i hated the most.... That kid that dropped the dog, the dogs death didnt bother me just the fact that this asshole dropped it for no reason. Why did he drop the dog!? things need to have reason this was done just to end the film, that is not good enough for me here.

Both were just OK to me. I'm a sucker for a horror anthology, so I was excited for both. Some stories worked OK, some not so much. I did like the first one better than the second one, but was hoping for more from both of them.
