The House of the Devil is a 2009 horror film written, directed, and edited by Ti West, starring Jocelin Donahue, Tom Noonan, and Mary Woronov. It combines elements of both the slasher film and haunted house subgenres while using the "satanic panic" of the 1980s as a central plot element. The film attempts to recreate the 1970s and 1980s style of horror films, using filming techniques and technology similar to those used in that era. Anybody see this? It's a really great throwback to old time horror and suspense films. The look, style and film techniques really do make you feel lime you're watching an authentic 80's movie. I highly recommend it. Also if you're a collector, I think you'd be interested in this as well: www.amazon.com/House-Devil-VHS-DVD-Bundle/dp/B003360JKY/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1316738188&sr=8-3

Never even heard of it, but the trailer looks really good. I think I'd enjoy this movie. Added to Qwickster.

I'll give most any horror movie a shot. I love movies that my wife hates, and vice versa, but I'll at least watch it once, just to see. Already added to my queue.

I couldn't resist the pack that came with a DVD and VHS in a clam shell case. I'm proud to say this will be my first official VHS purchase!

Better add it in there!
I remember watching this with my last girlfriend. She fell asleep and woke up near the end and said she hated it. I on the other hand, really enjoyed it.
