I was looking up the original Svengoolie. Wiki says:
Bishop was the announcer of the Friday night scary movie anthology Screaming Yellow Theater when he had an idea to create a live host for the program-the character that became known as Svengoolie-at first a Bela Lugosi-type voice under a title card (and over Link Wray's 1958 hit "Rumble"), then on-screen, in the guise of a green-haired, green-bearded, guitar strumming hippie who slept in a psychedelic painted coffin and told corny, vaudeville-era jokes given a horror-movie skew.[4][10][11]
The show's title was derived from Screaming Yellow Zonkers, a yellow, sugary glazed popcorn snack, first produced in the 1960s. Svengoolie was a pun on the name Svengali + ghoul. The show, and character, proved to be wildly successful; the show lasted from 1970 until 1973, when parent company Field Communications sold WFLD-TV to Kaiser Broadcasting, which chose to replace Theater with a similar show popular in Cleveland, The Ghoul Show. (The Svengoolie persona would be resurrected, with Bishop's permission, in 1979 by Rich Koz, who had been a writer for the original series; Koz continues in the role today.)[4]
Have you seen any of the original stuff?

Koz was Svengoolie Jr. for a while before being given formal permission to be Svengoolie, which he said he wouldn't do unless given Bishop's blessing. He took over and he's been pretty great. He's a radio personalty by day in the Chicago area, I think. His show is goofy, funny and one liners and it's a lot of fun. If you catch it somewhere you should give it a look. Nice guy, does charity stuff as both Rich Koz and Svengoolie. To answer your question though, no, I've never seen anything hosted by Bishop as Svengoolie. I'll have to look around and see what's out there.
Edit: Guess we posted at the same time. That clip is awesome, I can see his influence on Koz.

It's alright. I like the older movies so I enjoyed this one. Pretty sure this is public domain, so you should be able to find it online somewhere. Hope you like it!

It has Edward Van Sloan in it. I mentioned him in the Favourite Supporting Actors thread I did.

Does Dracula's Daughter actually have a name? Or does she only go around introducing herself as "I'm Dracula's Daughter" all the time? In my opinion that's a bit of a give away if Van Helsing or any of his relatives are lurking about. Not wise really. I recognise some of the names in it, they were prolific actors around that period. Like you I do enjoy older movies, actually I watch them more than modern stuff. It's funny I just looked and Edward Van Sloan plays Von Helsing. Possibly the name was changed for copyright reasons.

She does actually have a name, I can't remember it, lol, so I looked it up and it's Countess Marya Zaleska. I guess it would be awkward and probably put off potential victims if she went around as Dracula's Daughter everywhere.

I have to be honest and say this is now tonight's viewing, as I ended up unintentionally watching most of Carry On Screaming (again) instead. However I shall watch it, I shall!
