I was pretty much introduced to this movie by gorepolice and I fakking loved it. The aesthetic that was 50s with an 80s tinge to it. The amazing music throughout the flick. The characters, the unrealistic but fantastic action, it had damn near everything. When talking to Tomas, I likened it to a mix of Dirty Dancing meets Roadhouse. That's a loose comparison but I think it works. Not taking away from Michael Paré, but hell, I think if Patrick Swazye was the lead it would have gotten it's intended trilogy. Nonetheless, it's a very 80s film and I am happy to have experienced this. It will see regular rotation in Arnold SchwarzeNovember.

I'm so happy you liked it. It's a shame it never got the intended trilogy, but it works perfectly as a one off as well.
There was an unofficial sequel made called Road to Hell, but I read it was an abomination so I don't wanna bother checking it out.
