While browsing music I noticed some nice album cover art. I thought why don't we do a thread where we show what we think are great or interesting album (or singles) covers. But along side the album cover we post a track from the album. This means that we might like the cover but not be so keen on the music, but let's give it a go anyway! Here is one where I don't know the group very much, perhaps you do and can tell us about them. It's Magnum and the Album is Princess Alice and the Broken Arrow. From 2007. It was hard to pick a track as I don't know their music very well. But I managed.

I like this cover, it is the youth whose story is told throughout the album. It's a very good concept album. As well as the mod on his scooter, you can see the faces of the four group members in the mirrors. They are the different aspects of the youth's personality.

Emerson Lake & Palmer - Brain Salad Surgery The marvellous poem of the visionary poet William Blake put to music. Often sung by those who dream of what England could be. You get two with this one!

Is that some Giger art?

Yes it is. He was commissioned by the group, I believe, to do the album cover. Apparantly the female figure was modelled on Giger's then partner Li Tobler, who committed suicide aged 27.
