Ive been out of the loop as far as whats new and popular for a long time.
I mostly like older movies as in before 2000 but ever since I try to find those new throwback movies, that harken back to the 20th century even though theyre hard to find. So many new movies come out that I dont like it is hard to find ones I do like.
Itd be cool to find like minded fans that I could get recommendations from and talk horror.

Welcome to the forum! Big fan of the 80's and older horror movies myself, usually find that I'm disappointed with a lot of the newer horror films. Not that all the 80's movies were great, but the cheese helped! Anyway, for some older horror, check out the classics section and you can always find something to watch in the full movies section. I'm sure you'll find more like minded fans here. Hope you enjoy the place, and let me know if you have any issues.

My favorite period is 70s-80s then some early 90s. I like some of the mainstream and underground stuff from the 2000s like after Saw, Hostel and Rob Zombie came out and it was like horror is back for a little while.
Yeah theres a million cheesey 80s movies some thrived on campyness others were among the worst movies ever filmed, it wasn't all gold in them days either.
I like new movies shot on film with no cgi, no known actors and oldschool approach to plot and pace but with quality still there etc
If youve seen The Manson Family AKA Charlie's Family by Jim Van Bebber, that's basicaly what Im looking for, more of that
Thanks man. Ill check it out

Welcome to the forum! I am not a big fan of today's mainstream either! I do love a lot of older school style horror films, though! I like a lot of 1980s horror films, as well as a lot of the grindhouse and giallo films from the 1970s. There are also a lot of the nostalgic black and white horror films that give a strong appeal to me as well! There are even newer horror films on lower budgets, but done right in older school format that I found to be surprisingly good as well. I hope to see more posts from you on here soon!
