"The book was better than the movie!" is something people always say.
What do you prefer, watching the movie or reading the book?
If you could pick one over the other, which would you pick? Watching movies or reading books?

Quite the conundrum considering I collect both movies and comics.

I usually prefer books...but if a book is really good then I always look forward to the movie. Sometimes I end up disappointed tho!
One book that I really liked and then found that I liked to movie just as much was "The Martian" by Andy Weir, made into a movie starring Matt Damon. Although at first I thought Damon was miscast, in the end I thought he was great.
On the other hand, I loved the book "Gone Girl" but absolutely hated the movie. And I find that most Stephen King books don't end up being good movies. Just my two cents.

I prefer the movies because I am not a big reader

Usually the book for me. There's just so much more opportunity for details and to really get more into the characters and story that way.

I love both but say I prefer to watch movies because it's less of a commitment. Plus I can watch multiple movies a day as opposed to it taking a few days to read a decent sized book
