"From Beyond The Grave" is a horror anthology film from Amicus, with four segments. The first one covers a young investor cheating to get a cheap deal on an ancient antique mirror, only to end up unleashing an evil spirit from the past and having to pay a price for it. The second covers two crazy parents driving their only child crazy before a retired veteran and his daughter come into the picture. The third covers an evil spirit called an "element," haunting a man and his family, and a psychic being the only one who can stop it. The fourth covers an ancient antique door with a very dark past to it, with an evil spirit coming along with it. Peter Cushing hosts the film, playing the antique shop owner, where the featured antiques are purchased from, and really delivers with his performance. Donald Pleasance plays the veteran in the second segment and really does a very entertaining performance with that role. A young David Warner plays the young investor in the first segment, and is not very recognizable from his later roles as the scientists in "The Man With Two Brains" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Secret Of The Ooze" and Evil or The Devil in "Time Bandits." This is definitely one of the better horror anthology films out there, along with the other ones from Amicus as well as the first two "Creepshow" movies and the "Twilight Zone" movie from 1983.
