Hector One of the characteristics of the Castilian La Mancha province of Cuenca is its art for exhibiting the most diverse and surprising geological formations. The Enchanted City of Cuenca , the Torcas of Palancares or the Route of the Faces of Buendía are just some examples, but there are even more, such as the Talayuelas Canyon that we are going to talk about today. To discover this peculiar Cuenca formation, we went to the municipality of Talayuelas , located in the Serranía Baja de Cuenca. Once in the town, following the N-330 towards Uriel, only 5 kilometers separate us from the Talayuelas Canyon , also known as La Plaza de Toros. Once we leave the car, it is time to walk along a simple path with hardly any unevenness and 1.5 kilometers - one way - to reach our destination. There awaits us the spectacular red-dyed gorge that, with a good dose of patience, nature has sculpted for centuries with wind and water as the only tools. One of its greatest attractions is the impressive Cell Phone Number List views it offers. The viewpoint that is enabled is the best point from which to capture its full magnitude. Magnificent. In fact, there are three viewpoints in the surrounding area: El Mirador de la Sierra, with the best views of Talayuelas itself, El Pulpitejo, which is accessed by a staircase carved into a large block of stone, and El Tormo, with the most impressive visuals. The Talayuelas canyon (Cuenca) The forest track that leads us to this natural wonder has no loss and is very well signposted. Course, given that the terrain surrounding this environment is somewhat unstable , it is advisable to follow the indications and not step beyond the limit established by the irons arranged along the "circus." Our traveling companions? Rodeno pine forests, junipers, junipers, cistus and a large parade of aromatic plants that will delight our olfactory sense. When there are barely 100 meters left to go, we will still wonder where our goal for the day is. And the Talayuelas Canyon does not appear until we reach the same limit of the geographical feature; a moment in which it is inevitable to remain speechless at the deep collapse of sandstone rock that the waters of the Regajo Stream have formed on their way to the Valencian Benagever Reservoir. What to see near the Talayuelas canyon.
