I just love this movie, and while perusing my dvds in search of something to watch while reading comics, this just... stuck out. I had to put it on. And I did. And I haven't read a comic yet.
It's hard to concentrate when characters like Jack Burton and Lo Pan are hamming it up on the screen. So much fun.
This is in pure John Carpenter fashion, and I give thanks everyday that him and Kurt Russell work so damn well and often together.
The best of Jack Burton.

I love this movie so much. It's the perfect amount of action and cheese. It's got cool effects, great characters and funny jokes. I used to watch this every time it came on TBS (which was pretty much every other week), and now I can watch it whenever I want. Good times.

Yeah, that's one of the times it's worth getting the upgrade for. The movie is hilarious enough as it is, I'd love to see what was left on the cutting room floor.

You mean a mix of Fantasy, Comedy and Kung-Fu? Only thing that comes to mind right now is The Man With The Iron Fists, only less fantastical.
