I like the fact that I don't need a car here. I can go out any time and there's something going on somewhere.

Except here. The boondocks of Queens. And yet, I can still get a bus at 4 AM unlike when I lived closer to Queens Blvd.

Okay, so before work, hit the SA and bought 4 dvds. Hit the GW after work and bought 4 dvds. SA buys @ $1 each: Goya's Ghost (something my Aunt loves, so I'd give it a shot because no matter how much I joke about her being hoity toity, she has great taste in movies) Wanted Mr. Show season 1 and 2 (no slipcover, but complete 2 disc set) I Married a Strange Person (you NEED to see this, and OOOOOOH, the dvd is OOP and looks like this is a dollar well spent - www.imdb.com/title/tt0119346/)GW buys: The Frighteners (which I now see has a director's cut or well, next time) $3 Waiting, Unrated and Raw 2 disc $3 The Last King of Scotland $3 Tombstone The Director's Cut Vista Series 3 disc $5 And a copy of Sex, Lies and Headlocks.

Man, how do you guys find time to watch all of these movies? I can't even keep up with the ones I have coming from NetFlix. And that's mostly horror. Gotta tweak my schedule or something.

We buy and buy, but rarely do we watch. I usually only watch 2-3 movies a week, and that's when my buddy Gene comes over for our weekly movie/video game days.

I haven't found anything it over a week. And while that disappoints me, my wallet has been singing songs of joy.

A good day today. 5 dvds. 2 books. First, the dvds. Heroes season 1, Sealab 2021 season 1, Fight Club 2 disc, Ace Ventura Pet Detective and Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. And the books are what I find interesting (and 8 pounds). The first was the recently released, the Book of Genesis Illustrated by R. Crumb hardcover. It's a very lovely book, and while I'm a non practicing Jew, and don't care about the Book of Genesis, it's beautifully illustrated and cost me $2. So, yeah, I now own this. www.amazon.com/The-Book-Genesis-Illustrated-Crumb/dp/0393061027/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1338514396&sr=8-3And I found this, a 7 plus pound behemoth of a book called the Smithsonian Collection of Newspaper Comics. No idea what it is, but it's 30 years old, has amazing looking reproductions, and was $3. It's huge, 10.5" x 14". Massive, and over 300 pages on some amazing stock paper (thanks to being printed in Japan during the 70s). Even if I never read it, it's just an amazing piece to have for its look alone. www.amazon.com/The-Smithsonian-Collection-Newspaper-Comics/dp/0874741726
